Same last name, different flavour. Colin Baker played the Doctor from
1984 to 1986. A very different persona was introduced to whofans during
this time. In The Twin Dilema we see the Doctor transform into a
very self-centered, crazy and maniacal individual. In this episode he is
crass, rude and spiteful of Peri. Sarcasm is at a new high. Eventually,
Colin tones these emotions down and the Doctor becomes likeable. Although
slitely more arrogant than his previous incarnations, Colin's Doctor adds
a flavour untasted before by fans. He brings a necessary past to the doctor
and allows the character to grow in different directions.
In the promo picture to the left, standing next to the familiar console used in the mid to late 80's, he is still wearing Peter Davison's well known attire. Shortly after transforming he changes into something a bit more... noticeable. Some known trademarks in Colin's Doctor were that he hated carrot juice, dressed badly and was extremely energetic.
