- An Interview with Kate Orman
Kate Orman is a
novelist
who has written many books including several of the New
Adventures Doctor Who novels. Among them are Vampire Science,
The Left-Handed Hummingbird, Set Piece, and
SLEEPY. Kate has been gracious enough to allow a short interview via
email!

AK: When was your first book published? Not neccesarily a "Who" Novel.
KO: It was indeed a Who novel - "The Left-Handed Hummingbird", December 1993.
AK: Where did you get your start writing?
KO: I'd been writing fan fiction for years before "Hummer", publishing it in numerous Australian fanzines - but the Who novel was my big break!
AK: When did you become a "Who" fan?
KO: When the Fifth Doctor got shot at the end of "Arc of Infinity" 1, and I spent the whole next day worrying about whether he was all right. :-)
AK: What would you say your strongest personality traits are?
KO: I'm easily bored, but easily get very excited about something I'm interested in. I'm very curious. I'm a bit of a workaholic. I'm very talkative.
